What is 3Cs?
3Cs was created to be a voice in the community and the church, and to act as a bridge between the two. The goal is to empower, encourage and educate those who are struggling as well as the community surrounding them.
3Cs is a six-week forum consisting of open dialogue about mental health and well-being. In addition to myself, acting as mentor/coach, we will occasionally bring in Social Workers and/or therapists. The purpose is to create community, accountability, and a safe place to talk freely. We want people to know that they are not alone.
We are reaching out to you in hopes to establish connections with other organizations that may want to refer individuals to join this initiative. Our goal is to ensure that those who struggle with mental illness are not misrepresented and cast aside. It is important that leaders and church attendees understand how to interact with and better serve this population. Therefore, we have created a setting that will foster an honest dialogue where you will not be condemned for your questions.
As a valued organization in your community, we are asking for your partnership and support in getting the word out to your friends, family, parishioners, or program participants. We are also available to come in and speak with your leaders and answer any questions you may have regarding mental illness in the church.
Your partnership will ensure that we are making great strides to support those who are on their journey to mental wholeness or need further education in this area. I sincerely thank you for your time and look forward to your participation.
